 ANDREA CUNDELL

I am influenced by my love of walking in the landscape of wild places.

I enjoy using the plasticity of clay and its softness to create and distort known shapes.

My inspirations are ancient cultures and their methods of making and also the patterns and form we see in nature.  I enjoy creating new recipes which result in unique glazes.

I trained in Ceramics firstly at York College and then at Medway College, Rochester, Kent.

I have been self-employed for 20 years and am currently teaching ceramics at the Mount School as well as creating and developing my own ceramic work.

CATHERINE BOYNE-WHITELEGG

Catherine hand-builds her horses & foals, so each one is individual.  They are waxed & glazed & high fired to stoneware, so suitable for both indoors or outdoor use.  Once pulled out of the kiln they immediately smoke-fired in paper.

MICHELLE FREEMANTLE

Functional and sculptural ceramics, often incorporating poetry snippets. Each individual piece, strives to embody its own character.

CHUI-I WU

Having been trained in Taiwan, I have practiced there for over 10 years.

Relocating to England afforded me the pleasure of exploring new clays and glazes, and love to create one-off pieces which I hope will create lasting pleasure!

MARIANNE VON TUCKA

I make either slab-built or coiled vessels fired to stoneware. Onto each vessel I incise lines to create an abstract geometric design to counterpoint the form. I have developed a personal range of textured and vibrantly coloured glazes which I paint onto the surface. Inspiration comes from my interests in natural stones, minerals and sailing.
