Bridget is a printmaker based in York doing monoprints, collagraphs and linocuts, sometimes incorporating calligraphy into her work.
Taking an evening class in printmaking in 2005-6 lead her to fall in love with the sense of adventure and exploration within the printing process. “Every time you lift the paper from the plate you are not quite sure what the image will look like!”
Bridget now owns her own etching press and makes prints in her studio at home. Her inspiration comes from the world around and from the work of other artists. She seeks to reflect and celebrate the beauty of creation in colour, form and texture. She is looking forward to learning and experimenting with further techniques
Bridget joined York Printmakers in 2017 and has exhibited with them at York Cemetery Chapel, Osbornes Café and the Bishy Road Print trail. [email protected]
