David Cemmick

Artist David Cemmick lives in the beautiful Eden Valley amongst the foothills of the Cumbrian Pennines where he gains inspiration from the surrounding countryside and its abundant wildlife. David has also travelled extensively and documented plant and animal species from some of the world’s most remote habitats. This has resulted in him illustrating two books focusing on the endangered Kakapo Parrot and Black Robin as well as studying coral and fish communities on Jamaica’s Morant Cays coral atoll and painting under water. Expeditions such as these have inspired David to create ‘art’ from what he has seen in nature, from field sketch to finished painting, or sculpture in bronze and clay.
