York artist Jo Walton uses rust and rusted metal sheet in innovative ways to create art works. Iron filings are used as ‘paint’ and as they rust, reactions occur, every painting is unique and unrepeatable. Jo also uses oils to paint sea and landscapes onto gold and silver leaf, resulting in deep, rich and unique paintings.
