Perry Lancaster studied wood carving and sculpture as apprentice to John Fox in Cambridgeshire. John’s work became well known, especially his trademark ‘Martha’ cat and other minimalist designs. His work is highly collectable and bears the initial JF.
After John died in 1991, Perry bought the copyrights from John’s estate and carried on the business in his own name, adding more of his own designs in the same distinctive style. Still working mostly with handtools, Perry continues the work from his house and studio in France.
