Tim Rawlinson was born in Bristol and studied Ceramics and glass at Bucks New University, graduating in 2011. Whilst exhibiting his degree work he so impressed Peter Layton, that he was offered work experience at London Glassblowing. Ever since then, Tim has become a prominent member of the team, showing his work on many occasions and receiving huge acclaim.
Tim’s work focuses on the interaction between light and glass, here he creates optical effects, shadows and reflections, that transform their environment creating an architecture of light and colour. His cut and polished sculptural pieces are intended to prompt the viewer’s sense of curiosity and encourage contemplation.
