Cathryn Shilling created this glass curved panel by fusing different coloured glass rods together in a kiln, the rods are in three vertical layers with two horizontal layers between. The play of light between the rods causes a shimmering effect as the viewer adjusts position. The panel looks at its best when backlit, but even in a dark corner of a room, the glass gathers light from its surroundings to give a stunning effect.
