Carolyn Basing calls these imagined life forms ‘Signa Vitae’ which translates from latin as ‘writing life’, or ‘forming life’. Her submission for the Bullseye Glass Prize states:
“Derived from a curiosity about the concept of immanence: seeking to evoke life and to consider the ubiquitous nature of organic forms through the iterative process of lost wax casting, each piece approximately 160 x100mm”
